Recommended Resources: Web Hosts and More
Hosting Services
Cheap and feature-laden hosting is readily available in the US, while for those in other countries it can be faster and more reliable. Here’s our selection of favourites in the US and Australia, with more to come (we don’t believe in recommending them until we’ve used them and run our server monitors on our live sites to determine uptime and used their support systems to monitor quality of service.
One of the most popular US hosts is HostGator, and so far from our tests it looks good – cheap, full-featured, and excellent 24/7 response to the few issues we’ve raised:
Another well-respected host – despite the peculiar name
– is Fatcow, another cheap, full-featured, customer-oriented host.
Of particular interest to Internet Marketers – because it offers a reseller account where you can host sites in vastly different geographic locations such as the US, the UK, and Singapore – is our final US pick, Host Nine.
The geographic (and IP-address) distinction of these accounts is invaluable for SEO, back-linking, “blog farms”, and a host of other techniques that will give you Search Engine love juice.
Australian Business-Class Web Hosting
If you’re happy to pay more for the local speed, boutique-host reliability and support, we can only reccommend our own long-time host and favourite, PrimePixel Web Services.
